SO-FLY ADVENTURES© is a blog dedicated to highlighting and sharing outdoor recreational adventures, stories, and perspectives from around the globe. This blog was started by a very serious, die-hard fly fisherman and natural resource recreationist who wanted to share stories, passions, and love of all things outdoors – especially Fly Fishing.
In addition to the outdoors, SO-FLY ADVENTURES© is focused on sharing tales and stories of adventure travel from around the globe. From experiencing new places, tasty foods, unique cultures, amazing landscapes, to unique situations – life abroad is also a primary focus of this site.
About the Author
Growing up in Colorado, in the western United States, instilled a certain spirit and attitude about life, nature, and what is supposed to be important and valuable to a person.
In other words, it instilled a strong connection with the natural world and sense of place.
Fly fishing, Hunting, Camping, Backpacking, Shooting, Bow Hunting, Rafting, and time with family and friends is what life is all about.
It seems that nowadays, we get caught up in the hustle and grind, and sometimes lose track of what truly is important. Being able to spend time doing what you love with those that you love is paramount.
Spending time in nature, whether casting a fly rod in the Austrian Alps, putting arrows in a target in preparation for a Rocky Mountain Elk bow hunting trip , or waking up with a hot cup of campfire coffee watching the sunrise over the American prairie is what feeds my soul.
It is undeniable that these days, those sort of things are less and less common and most people do not have an appreciation for being in nature or experiencing life abroad. The writings, photography, and blog posts on SO-FLY ADVENTURES© are an attempt to memorialize these unique and fleeting moments and to share them with like-minded outdoor and travel enthusiasts.
